How much does peptide testing cost?
At Prodigy Labs the published ladder is $195, $295, $750 and $1,195 per sample. Basic at $195 is a screen: reverse-phase HPLC purity with identity by retention time, and no content figure. Tier 1 at $295 adds identity confirmed by co-injection and content in mg per vial against the label claim. Tier 2 at $750 is the injectable screening panel, adding endotoxin by USP <85>, heavy metals by ICP-MS, and bioburden. Which tier do most buyers actually need?
It depends on one question: does the label state a milligram amount you are relying on? If it does, the $195 screen cannot check it, because purity is a ratio and says nothing about how much peptide is in the vial. Tier 1 at $295 is the first package that answers what you bought rather than only whether it is clean. If the material is intended for injection, the analytical question changes again, because endotoxin and sterility are separate measurements that no amount of chromatography substitutes for.
Why do quotes from other labs look cheaper?
Usually because they are measuring less. A purity-only run is the cheapest product in this market and the most commonly advertised. Compare line by line rather than on the headline: is identity by retention time alone or confirmed against a standard, is content included or an add-on, what endotoxin method is used and against what limit, and if sterility is offered, is it a 14 day USP <71> incubation or a rapid screen presented as equivalent. Two quotes that differ by a factor of three often differ by more than that in what they tell you.
Are there add-ons beyond the published tiers?
Intact mass confirmation by MS is available as a $350 add-on where the use case needs mass rather than co-injection. Beyond that, published pricing is the ladder above. Anything outside the standard menu is quoted rather than listed, because method development and unusual matrices are not priced sensibly in advance.
Is there a volume discount?
Volume and ongoing programme terms are quoted rather than published, so the figures on this page are the per-sample prices for the standard menu. If you are testing regularly or submitting batches, ask for a quote rather than working from the ladder. Contact us for a quote.
Does the price include a certificate I can verify?
Yes, at every tier. A certificate that can only be forwarded as a PDF is worth much less than one that can be checked against the issuing laboratory's records, particularly if it is going to a vendor, a partner, or into a dispute. Verify a Prodigy certificate.
