Why Identity Testing Matters for Research Peptides

Mislabeled or contaminated research peptides compromise experimental validity and create liability for distributors and researchers.

🧬

Sequence Confirmation

LC-MS/MS fragmentation can confirm amino acid sequence for smaller peptides.

⚖️

Distributor Liability

Research peptide distributors who provide COAs with identity confirmation reduce liability from mislabeled products.

🔬

Impurity Detection

Full scan LC-MS reveals related substances and synthesis byproducts not visible by HPLC alone.

Fast TAT

3–5 day turnaround is available for identity-only testing without HPLC purity.

How to Submit a Sample

Submitting takes less than 5 minutes. Most projects turn around in 5–10 business days from sample receipt.

1

Request Online

Fill out our sample intake form — sample type, quantity, and timeline. We confirm turnaround and quote within one business day.

2

Ship Your Sample

We'll send submission instructions and our San Diego shipping address. Most samples ship ambient or cold depending on stability requirements.

3

Receive Your COA

Results are delivered as a signed PDF COA within the agreed turnaround. Rush service (2–3 business days) available for urgent timelines.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can you confirm the identity of a peptide I only have the sequence for?

Yes. As long as you provide the expected amino acid sequence, we can calculate the theoretical mass and compare it to the observed LC-MS result.

What is the difference between identity testing and purity testing?

Identity testing confirms what a compound IS (correct molecular weight and structure). Purity testing measures how much of the correct compound is present vs. impurities. For a complete COA, you typically need both.

Do you test non-peptide small molecules?

We focus on peptides and small proteins. For small molecule research chemicals, contact us to discuss whether our methods are appropriate for your compound.

Ready to Get Your COA?

Submit your samples and receive an ISO 17025 accreditation pending Certificate of Analysis. Results in 5–10 business days.
